Recently I had posted a poem by Sukhdarshan Dhaliwal. Here is a Hindi poem from same poet -

Yeh compu-internet, innovation ki duniya.
Yeh barh rahi email interaction ki duniya.

 

Yeh mouse, keyboard, monitor, modem,
Sajda karte hain jise Radha aur Parshotam,
Yeh saroor-e-chat-o-sensation ki duniya.

 

Yeh web designers, yeh soft programmers,
Yeh computer symbols, codes and numbers,
Yeh naye tassavur exploration ki duniya.

 

Yeh computer tech ke naye daur ka fasaana,
Aakash ki aarzoo mein web browser ka aaina,
Yeh khwabon mein fascination ki duniya.

 

Yeh digital age ki mahak mein pighalta insaan
Yeh login, logout mein behte huye armaan
Yeh naye nizaam, nayi generation ki duniya.

 

Yeh desktop pe dilkash* connecting icons,
Yeh compu-interplay ke hidden emoticons,
Yeh youtube, twitter public relation ki duniya.

 

Yeh web hostings, yeh domain name servers,
Yeh har taraf, har kisam ke web-bloggers,
Yeh badhti hui communication ki duniya.

 

Yeh ‘electronic duniya’ kahan ja rahi hai.
Zindagi mein kya kho rahi, kya pa rahi hai.
Is digital duniya ka koi rahi mujhe samjhaye.
‘Darshan’ ke is ‘sawaal’ ki pyas bujhaye.

Bhulekhe naal je main yaad aaya taan likhin menu

Koi tum se poochhe kaun hoon main,
Tum keh dena "koi khaas nahi"
Ek dost hai kachcha pakka sa,
Ek jhoot hai aadha sachcha sa,

 

Jazbaat ko dhaanpay ik parda bas,
Ek bahaana achcha sa,
Jeevan ka aisa saathi hai,
Jo door na ho ke paas nahi,
Koi tum se poochhe kaun hoon main,
Tum keh dena koi khaas nahi.

Couple of new Punjabi poems I came across recently -

Charde suraj nu ta har koi puchhda hai
Asi taan dehnde te aas lai baithey aa
Caran bangaliyan bare taan har koi sochda hai
Aasi taan kabar da khawab sajai baithey aa
Duniya taan paise pichhe bhajdi hai
Aasi taan tere naal dil lai baithey aa
Sare kehnde ne teri koi hasti nehi par pata nai
Pher ve teri tasveer kyon mann vich banayi baithey aa

Kade apna kehnde c jis nu
Oh hor kise da ghar rushnayi baithey ne
Asi yaadan vich sametde rehe jis nu
Oh saada khayal vi mano bhulai baithey ne
Asi pal pal jehde lai marde rahe
Oh aap chain di zindgi bitai baithey ne
Jalaon lai ta tasveer he kafi c
Par oh ta sada dil v viche jalai baithey ne

I was personally touched by this wonderful piece of writing about coding and felt attached to it personally. It is based on song from movie Ghajini – Tu Meri Adhuri Pyas Pyas.

Being in same stage where I have been working on something for quite long (almost 6 months so far) but still I have been dying to close this project, I can feel exactly what someone might be feeling while writing these lyrics.

Best thing is that I have at least one thing to remember about that crap movie .

From the terminology used in poem, I think that it belonged to employee of first-ever company I worked for!!
