House Full is a House Flop because one it has got no story and secondly, it has got same usual typical comedy flavor of Akshay Kumar – nothing new. Knew it already but had to go and watch for one reason or other. Never going again for this team’s another movie for any reason.
Rating: 2/10
Badmaash Company – A big idea makes a business big and it has been shown in practice here, in this movie (though they forgot to mention hardship and smartness). A team which makes, leaves and restarts their businesses – all based on different new ideas. Some of those ideas make sense while others are non-sense, none practice in today’s date. Still you love this movie for its liveliness, speed, cheerfulness, love, hate and above all, truthfulness in the relationships. Someone truly said that once you feel trust in a relation deep inside, it can never diminish, no matter how weak it becomes sometimes.
A fully entertaining movie, and all of us who watched this movie at Big Cinemas, Deepak, Saurabh and me, liked it, loved it and appreciated it. Good work by debutant writer and director.

Based on background of a school based on values and morals, Paathshaala is about commercialization of schools in today’s India. It shows how standards of Indian schools have changed and why the main focus has shifted from study to extra-curricular activities. The sufferings of teachers, students and parents is shown in quite equally innovative way which makes one rethink about today’s education system and how it can be improved.
Though the school is shown to be one of the idealistic schools which don’t happen anymore in India, the main problem is shown as the degradation of culture and values. Though director has tried to show the different views of today’s school culture but still he has left quite much desired to be shown which might had made this movie look much better.
Music is superb and if you have good taste for music, you will find one or two songs outstanding.
And yes, those children, SVM, teachers and hard-soft principle brought back lot of beautiful memories! So even if I would want to, I can’t give it bad marks!!
Rating: 6/10

3 Idiots is roughly based on novel Five Point Someone. They have brought college life alive on screen and you literally enjoy it when you try to match characters in your real life. It has been years but while watching movie, it felt as if it was yesterday when we passed out of the college. Also a story of passion, friendship, love, excellence, perfection and success. Some movies leave you speechless and it is better to watch them to feel the on-screen aura.
Also there has been quite a tiff going on between original book writer and the movie crew for the credits and money. For me, this one thing pulls down the rating for this movie.
Rating: 7/10
PS: BTW IDIOT means I Do it On My Terms.

This time Me, Sam and MKM – weekend fun at Big Cinemas. Movie was much hyped Spielberg’s Avatar.
It is story of another planet with different kind of species (you can call them aliens). To get acquainted with the atmosphere of that planet, our humans have to get into the bodies of their corresponding avatars prepared from their own DNAs. A very advanced kind of science is shown. Story begins from here and goes up to the point where humans start hurting aliens for their own benefits and someone from humans tries to stop the massacre.Reminds you of Ramayan in between the scenes after interval.
Overall, it is a good movie and we were thrilled with action and sound effects. Worth that much hype. Thoroughly enjoyable.

All these movies on big screen this year.
2012 – It was Sunday and we two movie freaks were out together for first time. We have been doing lot of movie discussions when together, giving recommendations, sharing liking and disliking, criticizing and discovering new genres. Finally we got chance and time to watch a movie to give our review comments at same time. It was Sangameshwar Yadagiri whose company was making it special.
2012 is about the end of world and what can be done to save most of the creatures. The possible disaster ending the world appears quite possible with strong scientific backing. After watching movie it turns out that it is not suggesting quite visible option to save the world when it is about saving only fraction of world for those people who are supposed to superior in power or brain and nothing about rest of the world. There were many open loopholes which made us dislike it at places. Quite and average movie opposite to the hype created around it.
Rating: 6/10
Kurbaan – Am not quite believer that this duo can cause a crack at box office but the specialty behind watching this movie was the last outing of we four room-mates together – it was already known to all of us. Treasured that evening like never before.
Kurbaan is on the background of 7/11 (same as Khuda Ke Liye and New York) and it has got some very close to life facts and at the same time, some very out of question points which makes it an average movie.
Rating: 7/10
Ninja Assassin – Second movie with Sam and it was fun as well. Another action masterpiece from the creators of Matrix.
Rating: 8/10
