(Colleagues, Hollywood, Mates, Movies, PVR, Review)
Two latest movies which I watched in PVR. Wasn’t disappointed from my decision to watch these action movies in multiplex.
Terminator Salvation – The prophecy is not proven wrong as its previous parts have made us expect. Wonderful direction (didn’t look like he has past of being in music) and story – that’s what makes it a great watch.
Unique about this movie watching was that it was on a working day with new colleagues first time, little early in office time!
This one was with Shashikant and Vijesh.
Rating: 7/10
Transformers 2 Revenge of The Fallen – Once again, another action sequel. Good sequence and nice special effects.
Didn’t like its first part because of director being offensive to rest of the world and same goes for this one. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg duo thinks as if America is the only power existing in this world and rest of the part is there to follow that power.
This one was with justdhami@…
Rating: 4/10

My day always starts fine.
It is that someone comes and screws it up sometimes.
That was my reply on one fine morning in December 2008 and after almost five four months, there is no reason, I should say that again – thanks to all my colleagues!
I wish I could pay them back for what they have helped me not to utter these words again.

(Colleagues, Mates, Musings, Personal)
This talk popped up over one of our lunch discussions. P1 came up with this subject that some children are born lucky to get easy going in their profession just because their parents are in the same profession. They make contacts easily and rise higher in ladder very soon as compared to others.
So P1 was trying to say that you get a Godfather in your own father if he is a professional.
P2 tried to be a little meaningful saying that actually when children grow up with such parents, they tend to inherit those qualities and interests. Also perhaps parents want them to come in the same field, deep in their hearts and hence keep helping their children to learn as much as they can. So such children have already acquired necessary prerequisites by the time they are in position to decide a field of action.
P3 gave example of his child that his boy already keeps playing around PC when he is around 3-4 years old and knows lot of thing. Hence he might be growing up like him.
P4 just nodded saying few words agreeing with P3.
P1 said that yes possibly it is every child that should go along the profession of parents. P2, P3 and P4 tried to agree with that.
P5 who was listening this whole conversation didn’t say anything but kept thinking that how brave those children are or would be, who choose their own path and excel despite the professional their parents were in. I got reminded of Rajat Singhal.

(Colleagues, India, Just like that!, Mates, Musings, Personal, Places, Truly Indian, USA)
Heard this word after a year from other Desi and it reminded old times. I have never written on this subject but feels like somewhere I always wanted to. I had heard this word long time back during grad but saw it in action for first time just a year back when I was among them. Desi is a common term used for Indians or sometimes collectively for South Asians settled in foreign lands. More information can be found over Wikipedia.
Over the foreign land, Desi word appears very phonetic with word Indian as being called Indian or Desi means the same. So when I heard Desi in India, my eyes rolled a lil and then I realized that perhaps it was the feeling of missing fellows by other Indian, as it sounded. Ah what a feeling it was, though was for couple of seconds. And I replied back in same words as I missed the same.
And as it has been more than couple of decades when these Indians turned Desi, second generation of Indians came up with other term – ABCD/American-Born Confused Desi. Keep going…we are tracking all that!!

I am trying to continue the trend started by me when 2006 was ending. To summarize the things in the way that you can recall them later, more easily than ever.
Here is the first series of that kind (you can also find same list for last year) -
- What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
- Continued my job for 2 years (of course that is an achievement when it is for first in 3 years of career)
- Completed NetAmp application – an app to play music over network
- Found my love
- Traveled abroad / US (Writing from there only)
- Visited Disneyland and Universal Studios

Oh yes I kept it. I don’t have habit of leaving impossible things like that. If it couldn’t be done in 2006, it was kept in 2007. Hey Krishna, are you listening? Of course, making another one for year 2008 and this time, again it is next to impossible for a person like me!
- Did anyone close to you give birth?
Luckily NO.
- Did anyone close to you die?
No.
- What countries did you visit?
US
- What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Remembrance (I think it isn’t about resolution)
- What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory?
27/07/2007, 04/12/2007 and 13/12/2007 (all sum up to mah lucky number as I have realized just now)
- What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Discovered Love
- What was your biggest failure?
Umm…None.
- Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes. Cough and Cold for quite long time during Cricket World Cup
- What was the best thing you bought?
I never buy things rather I present them to myself – 2 GFs / Laptops (dv9502 and dv6500t CTO NB) and 2 External HDDs (160 GB LACIE and 1 TB Western Digital)
