Hi, I am Nitesh Gautam. I’m a 24 year old Software Developer working at Gurgaon, Haryana, India. My hometown is Hoshiarpur in Punjab which is a small town of state. I spent early years of my life studying in my city performing like an all-rounder on the stage of life all set for a teenager. Completed graduation from Punjabi University in year of 2004, managing to maintain myself as a seven point someone. Since then, I have been roving in this beautiful world, making new friends and enjoying life to the fullest while being a geek, techie, writer, the one playing with Windows including few trysts with Linux & Mac machines.

Started career from Infosys Technologies Limited after becoming grad in Computer Science. Despite knowing couple of programming languages, I can also speak bunch of languages which include…of course, English!

Most of my productive time is spent in front of computer and rest of the time, um, that too in front of computer. Eh, no I am not other PC junkie. My free time activities also include,

My first encounter with computers was at the age of 11. The first language which I learnt was Basic but at this age, I would like to give a treat to you if you made me recall “Hello World” program of that language. Two things which fascinated me the most about computers are - Programming and Web. Have been learning new programming languages now and then. A typical web-freak who has been stumbling regularly since the year 2000 when I created my first ever Email-ID over web which happened to be niteshg@angelfire.com (don’t fear of spam-bots, it was dropped long back). I learnt first web-language - HTML in Summers of 2001 and created first offline website at the same time. With time, I also learnt JavaScript and CSS. First website of my life going online was that of my alma-mater in year of 2003.

This personal website was started in 2003 which was finally launched in June, 2006 after going through lot and lot of renovations. I had started blogging before launching my website which further, was the side-effect of my habit of writing diary. My first ever blog was created over Bloglines which doesn’t exist anymore(Blogger wasn’t launched at that time). Later I stared blogging over Blogger.com as an enthusiast. Then I shifted to the best - Wordpress and since then, I have been blogging only over this platform.

I write at this place to maintain an online journal for logging and sharing my experiences with technology and my interests. I write because I love writing and putting down all the zillion of thoughts loitering through my mind. Of course, I like visitors who read them and that is one of the motivations behind keeping me penning down my ramblings. You may go through different states of thoughts while going through my personal musings mixed up with technology but you are requested to treat it as a primary goal of maintaining a weblog for my contemplations which you may enjoy reading at other times.

By this time, you would had understood that I am a fun loving and freaky kind of person - the one, very enthusiastic about future. An Indian from a small town of Punjab. Basically Funjabi. I love technology, music and movies, like to play games (all kinds - indoor/outdoor/video) and a coffee maniac. A Software Professional / Code Punter and a Techie from heart. Have lived in about a dozen of cities in my life so far.
Like to see animals at zoos but in special cases, out of politeness, I can bear with them.
Nicknamed as Net - the name given to me by my friends, seeing my love and affection for internet.

Fear hospitals.
Prefer to store numbers in devices, if possible, than to remember them wasting my memory.
Careful about my health. I do yoga regularly from childhood. Am an average, athletic, fair boy.
Prefer Honesty, Credibility and Loyalness over any other moral value.
Love Denim as well as Khakis. Polo works at times. Like to dress up in formal clothing occasionally. My ratio for clothing is 6:4:2 <> Trousers:Jeans:Shirts::Pockets. Feel best in loose clothes.
Would love to starve on fast-food. Burgers and Pizzas are my favourite among them.
Forget ways easily. Too weak at recognizing paths at a new place for first few weeks. Don’t know how I cleared Geography so easily in my school life.
A typical nocturnal. I like to celebrate/enjoy my holidays by getting up as late as it can be.
Strong believer in “Simple Living And High Thinking“.
Was declared as best debater in school. Never participated in debate competitions after that.
Can’t read paper-books for long but love to read over computer, typically called e-books.
Hate anti-glare screens, as for me, they decrease the beauty of this beautiful creation known as PC. I (not usually) wear anti-glare specs to save my vision while working on computer.
I am possessive about the people/things I like.
My lucky number is 7. Coincidentally, I am a strong believer in 7 sins and 7 virtues.
