(2008, Musings, Occasions, Personal)
Today I happened to access my own blog after long time and found that there have been only five (5) odd posts in this whole month so far which is lowest count in long long time. I had never thought that I will ever be writing so less but when you start thinking hell more, you don’t find enough time to ponder all those thoughts and that’s what has been happening with me. Life has been going through too many twists and tosses in last couple of months and they are at peak presently. Not that I don’t have anything to write specially when I have been traveling KMs of distance, watching movies, listening to songs, getting into parties etc etc - all as usual though in lesser quantity but haven’t been in mental situation to write about anything.
To mention in short and to keep readers informed, I am left all alone everywhere (you can think in any damn way and I assure that you will be right).
So all I am trying is to sort out my life keeping survival as the only goal!
Would try to bounce back as hard as possible very soon when I am all done with possibilities at hand…

(2008, General, Occasions)
This year’s Shutdown Day is on coming Saturday - May 03, 2008.
Last year, I had survived by keeping my computer shut and being with my family for a day and this year, again, I will try to repeat by being with my room-mates…hopefully will plan to go for a movie.

(Blogging, Tech, Web 2.0)
As many of you will be aware that Britannica is providing free annual subscription to bloggers all around the world, I happened to register and got free account on behalf of my present blog otherwise it costs around $70 to access web-based info over Britannica.
Here comes today’s history straight from Britannica. Today is birthday of legendry writer William Shakespeare (wikipedia). Of course Britannica is just another warehouse of information like Wikipedia but this information is more reliable as it is verified by thousands of recognized experts around the world but then the base model is taken up directly from Wikipedia of providing reliable information free of cost. Ultimately, it can happen that whole web-based Britannica Encyclopedia will be made available for free to everyone.
Still I will love to stick with Wikipedia for now as I have been more familiar as well as comfortable in searching over there and then it is just one year of free subscription for Britannica…not sure if it going to last forever. Will be linking to Britannica now and then where I found better description of subject. Also I like the interface provided by Britannica which is AJAX based (oh btw I couldn’t find AJAX topic related to Information Technology over Britannica)!
Anyway if you are a blogger, you can claim your free membership for Britannica here.

(Google, Tech, Web 2.0, Yahoo)
I didn’t understand why Yahoo! felt need of coming up with Videos over Flickr when it is already hosting Yahoo! Video - a full fledged video hosting website…perhaps trying to replicate Google moves as they had added another video service - YouTube to their armor when they were already having Google Video. But for Google, it was a deadlock situation and they couldn’t merge two services. I couldn’t understand why Yahoo! will create such confusion intentionally.
Here comes Flickr Video and thousands of people are protesting against it. Here are two groups over Flickr raising their sound over unexpected service over Flickr - We Say NO to Videos on Flickr and NO VIDEO ON FLICKR!!!.
Hats off to copy rights in Web 2.0!!
